ArriveParo International Airport. Your tour guide will meet you and take you on a short one-hour drive along the Paro and Thimphu river valleys to Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital, at 2320 metres.  You can stop on the way to take in the magnificent Tamchhog Lhakhang, the hereditary place of worship for Bhutan’s iron bridge builder. Overnight in Thimphu.

Sightseeing in Thimphu, where you can visit the National Memorial Chorten, the National Library, the National Painting School, Buddha point and Changangkha Temple.  Browse the striking collection of intricate textiles at the National Textile Museum and visit the Folk Museum.

After breakfast at your hotel  get ready to visit another  most  beautiful  places called Punakha Valley , which  known as  an old winter capital of Bhutan.

En-route stop at Dochu La Pass,  to view the eastern Himalayas, including Bhutan  highest mountain, GangkarPunsum. The road then drops down through varied  changing forest, finally emerging into the highly cultivated Punakha valley. In the afternoon you will visit PunakhaDzong 1637 AD, one of the most impressive in the country situated between two mighty rivers basically known to people male and female rivers. Time permitting visit the small town of Khuruthang in Punakha.Overnight Stay.

After breakfast excursion trip tripWangdue, you will start with temple of fertility  or  ChimiLhakhang . ChimiLhakhang was built by lamaDrukpaKunley in 1499. He subdued the demoness of the Dochu la with his magic thunderbolt of wisdom.  A wooden effigy of the Lama   thunderbolt is preserved in the Lhakhang, and childless women go to the temple to receive a Wang blessing from the saint. Its  a 20 minute gentle walk across the rice fields from the road at Sopsokha to the temple. The trail leads across rice fields to the tiny settlement of Pana. There are very few monks at the temple, which is surrounded by a row of prayer wheels and some very beautiful slate carvings.

In the afternoon drive 45 minutes to another district on Wangduephordang, unique of its kind, small but cleanly maintained by the residents. Visit the fortress and the town. In the evening drive back to Punakha.

Drive from Punakha to Bumthang via Trongsa, Visit Yathra Weaving at Zungney

Yathra is colourful wool weaving with intricate patterns on colored wool native to Chumey valley in central Bhutan. You can see women at work with their backstrap loom, picking designs at the 'Yathra Weaving Centre' in Zugney and at each local homes and shops in the valley. You may also be able to see the dyeing of wool using natural dyes and other processes.

Trongsa Dzong: It is The most impressive Dzong in Bhutan. The Dzong was built in 1648 by Chogyal Minjur Tempa, the official who was sent by Zhabdrung to unify Eastern Bhutan and enlarged at the end of the 17th century by Desi Tenzin Rabgay. Trongsa Dzong is the ancestral home of the Royal family. Both first & the second king ruled the country from this ancient seat. All kings hold the post of Trongsa Penlop prior to being crowned as King.

Ta Dzong: Perched above the Trongsa Dzong this is a watch tower which once stood guard over the Trongsa Dzong from the internal rebellion. It’s now being turned into a heritage museum. Overnight in Trongsa

A day of sightseeing in the Bumthang valleys. Your guide will take you on a fascinating tour of a variety of sacred sites including Jamba Lhakhang, Kurjey Lhakhang and Tamshing Lhakhang. Visit Jakar Dzong (Bhutan’s largest) and you may be interested to see Bumthang’s famous swiss cheese factory. Overnight in Bumthang.

Today we take an excursion to the remote Tang valley, Ura Valley Stop to visit Membar Tsho (the burning lake), which is one of Bhutan’s most important pilgrimage sites.  Then on to Drangchel, Pema Lingpa’s birthplace. You will also see some picturesque villages and temples and can walk up to visit Ugyenchholing Palace, which is now a museum and gives an interesting insight into life in an aristocratic family in the last century.  Return to Bumthang for the night.

Start your journey back west to Gangtey in the remote Phobjikha valley. Visit Gangtey Gompa (one of Bhutan’s oldest monasteries and recently extensively renovated) and explore the valley where the villagers continue to live a traditional Bhutanese rural lifestyle. This is the site where black-necked cranes visit in their hundreds in November each year after spending the summer in Tibet.

Overnight in Gangtey.

Morning walk along the nature trail, a footpath encircling the winter roosting grounds of the crane, for about 2hrs. When the crane is not in residence, walk to the local villages, and also visit Nature Info center.

Today can be a day of leisure in this beautiful rural valley. If it is winter you can view the black-necked cranes. If you like hiking your guide will suggest a day or half day hike in the valley. Overnight in Gangtey.

After breakfast drive to Paro via Thimphu, we spend some time below Dochula pass to explore the botanical park and nearby surrounding for birds for diverse flora. If your interested you can make beautiful hike to Lungchutse Monastery, Lungchuzekhagoenpa is around 7 km return, 470 m up, 3-4 hrs and if you add Trashigang goenpa and Hontsho then the distance will abe around 10 km/ 550 m up, 4-5 hrs). After descending into Thimphu, continue short drive to Paro.Overnight in hotel

If you are interested more in the walks and to visit off-the-beaten sights, your guide can take you for drive up to Chele pass and hike to Kila Gompa nunnery. Along the way, you will also pass through wonderful forests. Also short distance from Paro in Bondey village, you can take a short walk to visit Dzongdrakha Gompa. The popular attractions within Paro include visiting Rinphung Dzong, National Museum, temples of Kichu and Dungtse, visiting local home and the stroll around the township.Overnight in hotel

Paro Valley (Takstang) -Hike to Taktsang (Tiger's Nest) Monastery

Before the hike, you can visit the ruins of Drugyal Dzong. Then follow it by day excursion to famous Taktsang or Tiger’s nest monastery. We can arrange pony ride for the uphill part but you must be able to walk down hill. This is expected to take all day.If for some reason, you wish skip Taktsang, our Guide and driver can arrange other interesting alternatives based on your interest. Return to Paro . Overnight stay

If you skip the Tiger nest we suggest the alternative place to visit  - – Full Day excursion trip to Haa Valley

Chele-La-Pass, at an elevation of 13,088 ft., is considered to be one of the highest motorable pass in Bhutan. About an hour’s drive from Zhiwa Ling it passes through lush valleys, pine and rhododendron forest. The pass provides stunning views of the sacred mountain Jomolhari and Jichu Drake.The valley is also unparalleled in Bhutan in terms of the diversity of the folk culture, legends and shamanistic rituals. The shamanistic traditions is vividly practiced in almost all the communities, most notable of which is the annual ceremony to honour Ap Chundu, the guardian deity of the valley. The valley is also a paradise for nature lovers and travelling there is a very rewarding experience
